My two sisters and I shared a weekend at this home and it was INCREDIBLE. The first day was sunny and gorgeous. We walked across the street to the beach, collected sea glass, and shells. The second day poured rain all day, so after lunch at Goblin and the Grocer, we sat in the sun room, cozied up in blankets and read books for hours. Finished the night with Titanic in the movie theater. The location alone is worth every penny. Be aware - there were plenty of people stopping at the bottom of the hill to read the historic marker. We felt like celebrities! They couldn't see us, but we could see them, which made for great people watching. I'd love to stay in the winter with snow on the ground.

WE had the most amazing time at this beautifully curated historical home. The amenities were great for all ages: bicycle built for 2, cornhole, movie theatre, entire home sound system to name a few! The views and sunsets were breathtaking. We are all still talking about the wonderful memories created. The refrigerator drawers were a bit of a challenge but the extra refrigerator in the lower level was a nice find. We will definitely be back!!

My family and I love visiting National Parks, so we were excited when we found the Cypress Log Cabin for our trip to the Indiana Dunes. This was our first time visiting the area, and it did not disappoint. The cabin was cozy and just what we needed after spending our days exploring the trails, dunes, and the beach. Watching the sunset every night from the living room was our favorite part. Just a heads up, you need a National Park pass to go on the beach so keep that handy. We were able to buy our pass from the host which was a nice touch. We had a great time, and the cabin made the whole trip even better. We can’t wait to come back!

We absolutely loved our stay here! The home was so comfortable and relaxing that we didn't want to leave when our vacation was over. Each room we entered had more character than the last. The view of the lake is great from the house or the yard and the sunsets were amazing. We also enjoyed a nice stroll along the beach. We can't wait to stay here again!
